Jonathan Stutzman is an award-winning filmmaker and writer of books for children. His short films have screened around the world and on television, and his is a contributing writer to the best selling collection The Tiny Book of Tiny Stories. He lives in the wilds of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, with his wife and French bulldog, and he is a staunch believer in
impossible things and the power of hugs. [from Tiny T. Rex and the Impossible Hug, 2019]

I will open this review saying I might have given this book a 3 or 3.5 rating, but I ordered it from Merry Makers with an insanely adorable plush of the hero. That's worth a star.
As children books go, this is a perfectly capable entry. There are colorful photos throughout that are, thankfully, not insanely busy like occasionally happens to cover bad writing. There is not a super original idea behind this picture book (how many times have we seen the replicator joke?). However, the illustrations are very funny and just the word "alpacalypse" is great. We watched the storybook video on hoopla narrated by Bronson Pinchot.

Vincent carried his house on his back. It was a small house but it had room enough for everyone.
The author and illustrator have crafted a tale much in the style of Leo Lionni. The colorful illustrations and rich rhyming text provide a story of friendship and acceptance. This would be a good storytime read aloud for ages 3-7.
