This is a better book about a grandparent dying than Grandpa’s stories. It’s sweet how it shows the relationship between a grandfather and his grandchildren. When a dead butterfly was found, their grandfather teaches his grandchildren about butterflies and its life cycle. Soon after their grandfather died, the life cycle of the butterfly’s eggs came to life. I thought the butterfly symbolized their grandfather looking out for them. I’d use this book to talk to my students about a grandparent’s death. ( ) no reviews | add a review
