I am not a fan of this book. I think it is pointless and that it doesn’t have any depth to it. There is four different sections where Felix is taking pictures of Max. Max thinks he can do everything write like build a porch and catch more fish than Felix. His cockiness always ends with him falling. I don’t like the “plot” (to be honest I don’t even really see one) The story is chopped up into these four different sections but each of the sections go nowhere. Nothing really happens in the story, at all. Max just says, “hey Felix, take my picture quick!” and Felix will take the picture too late and Max will say, “you waited too long.” That is honestly the story because the same thing happens in each of the four sections.

I honestly don’t believe there is a big message to this story. Friendship might be the closest thing to a big idea because Max and Felix are friends, but Max doesn’t even really treat Felix like he’s his friend because he is always telling him he waited too long to take a picture, or that he can build a porch better or catch more fish. This story just doesn’t make sense to me, at all. ( )
