Complete with further reading, websites, and additional resources, this book gives the reader a look at the life of a guide dog in training. Many color photographs illustrate the process from the beginning of the training when the dog is a small puppy to his graduation, when he is given to his new owner. ( )

This book follows the life of a puppy as he trains to become a service dog and a guide dog. The golden retriever ends up becoming a guide dog for a blind man in California. The book revolves around the trials the dog goes through, but also mentions information about how to raise and train a guide dog as well. It is good for older students around the age of middle school.
