A Rose for Pinkerton is adorable for kids. Pinkerton is a Great Dane puppy that is lonely. Pinkerton's owner wants to get another puppy for Pinkerton to play with but her mother does not want another Great Dane puppy. So she goes to the animal show to find him a friend. She finds a kitten named Rose. At first Rose thinks she is a puppy and Pinkerton thinks he is a kitten. When the little girl and her mother go to the animal show to find out why they are acting the way they were Pinkerton ends up saving the day from a bunch of poodles. ( )

Pinkerton, a dog, is lonely so his owner chooses a kitten to be his new friend. But the two get confused -- the kitten Rose tries to become a Great Dane and Pinkerton tries to become a kitten -- and at the pet show this causes some problems, though in the end Pinkerton is considered a hero for saving the kittens in the Castle of Kittens from a rampage of poodles.
