The Magic School Bus books are always enjoyed with young readers. They provide great over views and fun facts about many different scientific areas. Students will be able to enjoy the relatable character, colorful pictures, and educational knowledge presented in each book over and over again! ( )

Ms. Frizzle takes the class on another impromptu field trip right before Visitors' Day: they visit a paleontologists' dig, then zip back in time to each period (late Triassic, Jurassic, Cretaceous, Cenozoic) to observe the dinosaurs there. ( )

Dinosaurs are already fun to learn about but this book makes it even more so. Ms. Frizzle and her class travel back in time and explore the different type of dinosaurs. This book is very informative and something to read to students when learning about dinosaurs. It's a great launch into the subject because it takes about their names and where they live and what the eat. It hypes up students and gets them engaged. ( )

I used my sons own library for the science picture book week. He is obsessed with anything science. We took him to the booksale, gave him $10 and he came back with a kid encyclopedia set. (He’s 9) This is one of his favorite books . We’re big fans of the magic school bus in general. I had him read this book to me. Ms frizzle and her students go back and time and become paleontologist themselves and set off to discover the relationship between birds and dinosaurs. The hollowness of bones, the bone layout itself, fossils found with feathers are just a few of the examples they find. Then dorthy Ann writes a research paper on it (classic D.A. move). It’s a good book that definitely peaks interest in kids. ( )
