The Old Black Fly is about fly that goes around a house causing trouble and annoying a family. I liked this book because it repeated the rhyming phrase "shoo fly shoo" and had text that was a different color and different font size. I thought the book was very engaging and enjoyed the pictures. ( )

Old Black Fly is a fun way of looking at the alphabet telling the story of a fly in a very busy home. He experiences being shood around the house while landing on food, people, plants, and other artifacts in the house. In the classroom, students can identify rhyming words and alliteration thought the book.

Book description
A basic ABC book that rhymes through out with 26 pages for 26 letters. Unless I was teaching a very young age, other then high school, I would never really use this. But, I could use it to teach rhyme, and it is done in a manner that I think students could understand.
