Winnie, Zoe, and Vanessa are best friends who do everything together. But, Zoe and Vanessa want to take ballet classes, and Winnie would much rather be reading mysteries. Winnie doesn't want to be a dancer, but she doesn't want to lose her friends, either. A sweet story about finding yourself and about what it means to be a true friend.

Winnie does everything with her two best friends Vanessa and Zoe. They hang out together every day after school and always make sure they're wearing something that makes them all the same. So when Vanessa and Zoe sign them up for ballet classes, Winnie goes along even though she doesn't really want to dance. The girls have always done everything together, but how can Winnie tell them she doesn't want to dance without making them mad? This book will appeal to girls interested in dance as well as children looking for stories about friendships. Grades 2-3. ( )
