Annie's birthday is on Tuesday and she is very excited for a dressup party! She invites here whole family, including her cousin Henry. Annie, Henry, and even snowball, her bunny, had to pick out what they were going to where at Annies big dress-up party. On the day of her party, the house was dressed up beatiful and so was Annie and her father. However, when her guests arrived they were wearing pirate costumes because they thought it was a costume dress- up party. They had a great time at the party because the most important thing was her family thought Annie.

This book is a winner of the Theodor Seuss Geisel Award. Annie and Snowball is part of a series of books about a little girl and her pet rabbit, Snowball. In this book, they prepare for her dress up birthday party at her house. I would like to use this book to introduce kids to the series. Then if they see a similar book in the library, they are more likely to choose it. The benefit of a series is that they are able to eventually read through all of the books. This book has several chapters leading up to her dress up birthday party. Even though it doesn't turn out like she planned, the party is still a huge success! This could be a great way to talk about when things don't go like we planned, we can still adjust.

Review: This book was about Annie's dress up birthday party. She invited her family (her dad and bunny, aunt, uncle and cousin). When she invited them, she said to dress up. Annie meant to dress fancy, but her counting thought she meant to dress up silly. At the end of the day, everyone still has fun. This is fiction because this story could have actually happened in our world.
Use: This would be a good book for a girl student, or a student with a single parent.
Media: pen and ink and watercolor ( )
