Chez Bob is a trickster tale gone awry. Chez Bob is an alligator planning to trick birds into making a home inside his mouth. He works hard to make the perfect environment for the birds and just when he is planning to eat them, he finds it necessary to protect them from a storm. Chez Bob discovers through this that he has formed a connection with the birds and no longer wants to eat his new friends. The colorful and humorous illustrations in this book make it an enjoyable read. Readers will love predicting what Chez Bob could do to make the perfect restaurant for birds. The ending may surprise readers and will foster great conversation.

This book has tongue in cheek humor (something Scott really appreciates). I loved seeing Alligator Bob figure out how to attract animals to his restaurant....only for them to be the main offering on the menu ;) ( )

Cheeky, silly and funny all around, with the kind of humor even adults will laugh out loud for. ( )
