Try, try, again, design and redesign. A good choice for the aspiring inventor in your life. ( ) (Growth area: Nonfiction/informational) This book tells the true story of the first flight across the English Channel. It was interesting to learn about Louis Bleriot. He was a competitor of the Wright brothers. He flew the English Channel in an aircraft that he designed and built. This was a great historical picture book that told a story that many might not know about. This book details Louis Blériot's journey of creating his own airplane. The story is humorous and contains beautiful illustrations depicting his aviation progress. I like this book because it gives children insight to a lesser known aviation pioneer. This would be a great book to use for a biography day. no reviews | add a review
