Abraham, a black slave, and Lamar, a white soldier meet up on a path and start a conversation. Both realize that they miss their home. Each goes his seperate way and they meet up once again at that fateful battle at Gettysburg. This time Lamar has been injured. Should Abraham, who along with his donkey drives an ambulance, save Lamar, turn him over to the confederates or to the union? You'll have to read this story to find out what happens to these two young men on opposite sides of the war. ( )
