Cookiesaurus Rex is a cookie with attitude. This books takes you through the adventures and demands of Cookiesaurus Rex as he tells the cookie decorator how he would like to be decorated. This is a funny and entertaining book. This is a great book to use for predictions and read alouds. ( )

Cookiesaurus Rex is a cookie with a BIG attitude. He wants to be frosted first, but when he sees how the other cookies are getting sprinkles and shiny stars, he throws a fit and demands a "do over". The decorator has a sense of humor and decorates him in clever ways that are not to his liking! Finally Cookiesaurus takes the decorating into his own hands and he takes a "licking". This is a hilarious story for young students! They love the cheeky dinosaur and the clever decorator. It is perfect for a read aloud and kids love to read it again and again. There is some satisfaction when the dinosaur gets his just desserts!

Readers of all ages will be ROARing with delight as we see our growly friend go from dignified top hat wearing dino to a ballerina, a clown, and a few things in-between. The funniest to me? The baby...and what the illustrator does with those requested chocolate chips, BAHAHAHAHA! As the story progresses, Cookisaurus Rex is determined to get exactly what he wishes...but, um, yeah...while it's filled to the brim with humor, it DOES remind us why we should always be ever so careful what we wish for...*gulp*...and always remember NOT to bite the hand that feeds us...or decorates us.

Did you ever think a cookie would sass you? This cookie does. It’s decorating time and he gets to be a nice dino green. But then he sees the others getting gumdrop noses, sparkly stars, and wants to be more special than each of them. He demands a change, but his artist starts playing with how these changes take place. This is a tongue in cheek book that will have kids and adults alike laughing. ( )

Cookiesaurus Rex! is a good supporting text that can be used for teaching predictions to students! you always will be guessing what Cookiesaurus Rex wants to change into next! It is funny, and his character comes to life through his dialogue and actions!! this book is an easy read for kindergarteners and 1st graders, they will introduced to some new vocabulary, and if any students are interested in dinosaurs this book is appealing for them! This book just shows a lot of different elements such as tone, setting, plot, but in a creative way! ( )
