Novel. In this book a girl named Joelle and her family moves from Minnesota where she is one of the best baseball players in her school to a small town in Idaho and finds that girls are not allowed on the baseball team but instead have to play softball. Frustrated by this she talks to everyone as high up as the superintendent, but when she still gets the answer no she starts an all girls baseball league. However, before they play their first game the school board changes their rules and allow girls to tryout for the baseball team. The bad news is that Jolelle’s tryout date is the same day as her all girls league game which she is the founder of so she is faced with a big dilemma here. She ultimately decides not to tryout for the boys baseball team but instead go to her girls baseball league game. ( )
