A fun and entertaining book! The art is stunning with mixed media (hand-created images, photographed and displayed for a 3d effect). Willems introduces Nanette, who is tasked by their mother to fetch a baguette. We follow her into town as she heads for the bakers. The whole experience is observed and written in rhyme, making it, so fun to read aloud. This was one of Mo Willems fun and poetic books! ( )

Hilarious. I had no idea so many things could rhyme with baguette, but Mo Willems not only packs the book with rhymes, he manages a funny story and a lot of variety. Fun to read out loud, good story about taking responsibility, and all the silly, silly rhymes. ( )
