A 6 year old must journey to the local store after 5 days stuck home in a blizzard. Beautiful illustrstions and a pull-out map make it a very fun read. (

Autobiographical story of a boy's expedition to get groceries during the Blizzard of '78. Pleasant tale about community with very mild adventure for the kid. Somewhat cartoony art style. (

A very good and easy read for primary or k-2 readers. Based upon the blizzard of 1978 that brought 53 inches of snow too Rhode Island. Gives young children the chance to imagine and discover new ideas. (

This is a book about a boy who is experiencing his first blizzard ever. He is discovering how this weather can effect him and his entire families lives. He is seeing how he can't go to school when the weather is like this.
