Ranging from striking seascapes to comedic vignettes, they alone could make Three Bears in a Boat worth the read. That the story accompanying them is sweet and fresh and adept at offering a lesson without feeling preachy or predictable is even better. ( ) Three Bears in a Boat is about three bears named Dash, Charlie and Theo on their adventure to finding their mom a new blue seashell after they accidentally broke hers. They decide to go out to sea to find her a new blue sea shell, but didn't have any luck. The three bears begin to argue putting the blame on one another, get distracted and end up floating into a terrible storm. Luckily, the storm pushes them back home where they finally find the blue shell they were looking for. They apologize to their mom and present her with the new shell. This story teaches a lesson of taking responsibility for your actions rather than put the blame on someone else. In the classroom, we can discuss alternate ways the three bears could have solved the problem. no reviews | add a review
