- Great informational book about honeybees. Could be used as a read aloud and I would have this in my library.

This non-fiction picture book follows the story of a little honey bee names Scout. Scout goes out to explore the world while telling the reader facts about bees. These facts include things like what different bees have for their jobs and what that entails. The descriptive language and watercolor illustrations give reading non-fiction a fun and exciting twist. I think that this book leaves a lasting impression on readers. I would love this story about Scout to students primary through intermediate. It would be a great introduction to a whole unit about insects or specifically bees.

I think this book can be used in the intermediate level. It is a book about a scout bee going out and finding pollen for its gatherers. There are informational facts about bees throughout the whole thing.
