The same author as [b:The Hallo-wiener|494748|The Hallo-wiener|Dav Pilkey|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1175217351s/494748.jpg|482905] but you'd never know it. This is not funny, exactly, nor cute, nor anthropormorphic, except peripherally. The artwork is amazing and will inspire youngsters who like to use their markers and their fingerpaints. The artist is clearly a fan of fine art, especially, perhaps, of Gaugin and Matisse. ( )

One of the stranger Dav Pilkey stories I've read, I still enjoyed it. The transition from high-detail black and white to almost childlike color and back again was funny. It was an interesting idea. Not bad. ( )
