I uploaded my book collections in correctly. I just want to delete all my books and start over. Is there a way to mass delete?

Is the problem that they are all in the one collection, 'Professional books'? It may be more efficient to bulk edit them into other collections rather than mass delete and start over.

The imported information did not come through correctly, so I really want to delete them. Under my books it shows 0, but on the home page it still indicates I have books in 2 collections, but when I enter the collection is shows 0 books.

I can confirm that kstorey's profile says 1077 books, but his/her catalog shows 0 books. I suggest that kstorey email Jeremy (jbd1) whose email can be found in the Contact link at the very bottom of this (and every) page.

I find 110 books in the catalogue.

Definitely something odd going on there.
On the profile I see : Professional books (1,077), Author's Collections (110), All collections (2,324), but I only find 110 in all collections.

This is after a reindex, because I did a search.

The way to delete all your books is to go into Power Edit (lightning bolt button on the top of the catalog), choose Delete Books and Select all # Books. However, that will (I believe) only work on books that show up in your catalog - so the bug of the invisible books needs to be fixed first (and when it is, it might be easier to move books around than delete and re-enter). I'd post in Bug Collectors with this problem.

I would check in disabled standard collections - I wonder if some of those books don't hide there.
If not - someone from LT will need to delete the caches for the user on the server...
Or the user can try to expire the caches on their own first:

Having successfully at last used a technique to import Kindle book information I would now like to delete all the books in my Kindle trial collection - so to be clear I know I can delete the collection name (but that leaves the books) - I want to actually delete the books in that collection as there is some editing to do - I might be missing something but in the power edit area it appears that you can only delete all books in one's library.
Can this alternatively be carried out by tags? All the books are tagged Kindle import trial.

>11 balbs: Use the Power Edit mode in your catalog. It’s the lightning bolt button at the top.

>11 balbs: It says 'Delete selected books'. It will only delete the books you have selected by marking the check boxes on the far right.

If you first select a collection and then enter power edit you can then select all the books and delete them and you will have only deleted the books in that collection

You could also do it by tag (tagging on import is _very_ useful) - that is, click the tag so only those books are "visible" in LT, then Power Edit and Select All. Same thing as using a collection.

>11 balbs: how did you import your kindle books? I've been working on this off and on for months
