Review/Critique: This book is about how Rosa Parks took a stand and influenced a nation in order to change Jim crow laws which oppressed African Americans. One of the ways in which people were discriminated against was that they could not sit where they wanted to in buses. So, due to that many African Americans Boycotted against buses and used only alternate means for transportation. After a very long period of time laws finally changed and African Americans could ride the bus were they chose to. It took a lot of effort and strong will for people to do what they did as long as they did, but it paid off. This book was a wonderful multicultural book, it provided insight as to what African Americans had to go through during that time period while they were Boycotting and how tough in must had been to do what they did in order to have change take place.… (more)
