The classic story of loyalty, trust, and sacrifice comes to life in this live-action adaptation. Fern is one of only two living beings who sees that Wilbur is a special animal as she raises him, the runt of the litter, into a terrific and radiant pig. As Wilbur moves into a new barn, he begins a second profound friendship with the most unlikely of creatures - a spider named Charlotte - and their bond inspires the animals around them to come together as a family. Wilbur the pig is scared of the end of the season, because he knows that come that time, he will end up on the dinner table. He hatches a plan with Charlotte, a spider that lives in his pen, to ensure that this will never happen.
Rated G, however mild violence; one comment "The ending will most likely upset any emotional people."

Good adaptation of the book. Nice work with the animation.

A well-done adaptation of the book, not too cloying or heavy-handed. Henry Gibson (Wilbur) was my favorite regular on Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In in the Sixties; he is a credible singer.
