I know I haven't been a teen for a long time, but this book made me think, "Gosh, now this is what teens want to read." How do I know? I don't really know. What I know is that I read a lot of YA books that are really long and pretty deep and, while they're very good, they're hard sells. This should be easy to sell. Not too long. Funny. It's got sex and the devil in it. Great book for reluctant readers.

Not your typical teen vampire novel, The Night Road is a pretty quiet book. No love triangles or violent battles here; instead we're pretty much inside the main character's head the whole time. The book is more about his internal struggles than anything else. In fact, so little happened that I might have quit reading if the originality of the story and the characters (especially Sandor) hadn't kept my interest.

Liked it-didn't love it, but I'd probably read something else by this author.

I liked this more than I thought I would. It raises interesting questions about God, heaven, and hell. It is also interesting to think about what experiencing everyday life would be like for a being who had never been corporeal before.

This is an engaging, spare, sexy story about a 17-year-old boy who moves into a haunted house, and is visited in his "dreams" by the teenage girl who used to inhabit the home. She believes that he is her long lost lover. I haven't gotten to the end yet, but the book is leaving me breathless. Perfect book for reluctant readers of both sexes.
