Short biography: Rebecca Emberley comes from a family of American artists, including her father Ed Emberley, her brother Michael Emberley, and sister-in-law Marie-Louise Fitzpatrick, all of whom illustrate children's books. Her daughter Adrian Emberley and husband Peter Black are both singer-songwriters. Rebecca is the author and illustrator of numerous books for children, including a bestselling bi-lingual series. Mice on Ice (I Like to Read) by Rebecca Emberley

This book is for beginner readers or for students who are just learning how to read.
It is about some mice who are out ice skating and the shapes they can make in the ice. It promotes imagination and creativity.
I would absolutely recommend this book for any early childhood classrooms for students to not only practice reading but learn about shapes as well.

Taking a Walk: A Book in Two Languages/Caminando … by Rebecca Emberley

This would be a great book to have in an inclusive classroom where there are kids who are unfamiliar with the English-language and vise versa for students who are not fluent with speaking Spanish. Being able to show students words (in English and Spanish) of certain images of objects in specific setting. I think would be very helpful in having both types of students learn how to do basic communication with each other and with myself as their teacher.

The Ant and the Grasshopper by Rebecca Emberley

This is NOT related to the Aesop’s Fable of the same name although it is listed as a retelling of the traditional fable. An enjoyable picture book story, nevertheless. It has rich, vibrant colors in the illustrations.
