"Valentine's Day" is about a class who makes valentines cards for their friend who moved away to Japan. Everyone makes a very unique card and writes to their friend that they miss her. This book shows up the importance of friendship to children. ( )

Good for children to learn about Valentine's Day. Good read-aloud. Not a huge teachable book, but is relevant to our culture. ( )

Mrs. Madoff's class is making Valentine's Day cards for their friend Michiko in Japan. Tuns out that on Valentine's Day she sends cards to them too. This is great to show that no matter how far away someone is you will always remember them and the fun things you have done together. ( )
