Nothing ventured by Suzanne Simms
Nothing Ventured was well written and had great characters. There was great humor in the book and the story was great. I would love to read more from this author.
I liked the characters, but the plot could have been tightened significantly and better developed, even for this type of novel. But it wasn't bad.
About an Egyptologist who meets the man of her dreams who turns out to be an ancient Egyptian King reborn into a half vampire. I enjoyed the bits of mythology, but the story was rather predictable.

Paranormal Romance. A clever variation on vampires that was totally ruined by poor writing. Cardboard characters and everything very flat. It would have been a waste of my time, except that I was sick and skimming this was about all I was up to.
